Size & Fit Guide

We designed our boots to fit snugly, like a sock, providing maximum comfort and protection for your little adventurers. This snug fit helps ensure that water stays out while keeping their feet secure during all their explorations. Please note that the boots may feel tight at first, but they are made to stretch and mold to your child’s feet over time.

Choosing the Right Size

  • True to Size: Meriweather Boots are designed to fit snugly. Choose your child’s normal shoe size for the best fit.
  • Size Up Option: If you prefer a looser fit, or if your child is between sizes, we recommend sizing up for extra comfort and room to grow.

Pro Tip for a Smoother Fit

Because of the snug design, Meriweather Boots can feel tight out of the box. Here’s a simple method to help stretch them for easier wear:

  1. Lightly wet the cuff of the boot.
  2. Take the cuff and gently stretch it over a rounded surface, such as the arm of a chair.
  3. Allow the boots to dry while stretched over the chair arm. This will help loosen the fit without compromising the boot’s structure.

How to Put Them On

Meriweather Boots are designed to go on just like a sock. Here’s a recommended method to help:

  1. Have your child sit in your lap facing away from you.
  2. Fold the cuff of the boot down to make it easier to slide on.
  3. Gently guide the boot onto their foot, pulling it up like you would with a sock.

Due to the snug fit, some toddlers may find it challenging to take them off and put them on by themselves. With time and practice, many toddlers will be able to manage independently, but it’s always easier with a bit of help!
