No. They're water-resistant. Splashes, rain and wet grass stay out. Water can come in over the top of the cuff, so for real puddle jumping, put rain pants over the cuff. Or wear rain boots that day. I won't be offended.

Nylon outside, cotton inside, and a PU membrane between them. There's no chemical water-repellent coating on the outside, so after rain the outside can look wet while the inside stays dry.

Probably not. The cuff is tall, so pushing a foot straight down from the top feels tight. Roll the top down, toes in first, pull the heel back while they push, then roll the cuff up. Once they're on, they fit like a sock. More on sizing

Yes. They're everyday shoes. Rain is just where they earn their keep.

Machine wash on cold, then air dry. If they get soaked, stuff them with a towel or newspaper and dry them upside down somewhere ventilated. No dryer, no direct heat. Heat is what ruins the membrane. A second pair helps on wet weeks.
